With our latest updates, you can now edit, delete, and restore safe custody packets and documents—ensuring accuracy while maintaining a complete audit trail. These enhancements minimise errors, strengthen compliance, and align with legal standards.
What’s new?
Edit safe custody packets and documents
- Modify packet and document details after creation.
- Add or remove contacts from an existing packet.
- Include a reason for edits to maintain a clear audit history.
- All changes are logged for compliance tracking.
Delete and restore safe custody packets and documents
- Remove incorrect packets or documents when necessary.
- Validation ensures documents in "held" status cannot be deleted.
- Restore deleted packets and documents when needed.
- Option to hide or show deleted items for better record management.
New firm reference fields
- Introduce a custom firm packet reference number.
- Use alphanumeric identifiers for better alignment with physical records.
- Display these fields in reports for easy tracking.
Improved right-click actions
- Quickly edit or delete packets and documents from the right-click menu.
- Access additional options such as "show deleted" for better visibility.
Why this matters
Previously, once a safe custody packet or document was created, it couldn’t be changed. Mistakes—like assigning a packet to the wrong contact or using an incorrect numbering system—couldn’t be corrected, which posed risks during audits. With these enhancements, you now have greater control over your safe custody records while ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Getting started
These updates were rolled out in version 9.6 earlier this month. You don’t need to take any action—your safe custody register will automatically include these new features.
